American Airlines takes jets out of service, cancels flights due to overhead bin problem

American Airlines on Thursday said it canceled about 40 flights after it took 14 Boeing 737-800 jets out of service after it detected problems with overhead bins that wouldn't close. The planes were recently remodeled with more seats and bigger bins.
