When BTC was $29,000
My dad texted me, "Bitcoin at 29k, headed to 10k!" which was a blaring whistle to load up.
I went home that weekend, and he told me his money was safe since it was backed by Gold. I emptied my equities and bought more bitcoin.
TLDR; if your parents are fear mongering about bitcoin, it's time to buy.
edit: he's 67 and retired, just was never taught the truth about money
