Can someone explain to me why people would opt to buy and btc etf instead of just buying btc
Is it institutions that cant hold btc but can own stocks? Why would any not institutional investors buy btc?
EDIT* buying bitcoin is already extremely easy. One app and a bank account. Sure there is a learning curve but that is same with anything. The power bitcoin gives the individual is self possession of monetary assets. If you’re buying it through an etf i feel you are missing out on arguably the most important selling point. You are buying a portion of someone else’s stack that they r keeping in their possession. Idk maybe im wrong. I understand people have different priorities.
*EDIT* the investing from retirement accounts makes sense. I guess i should clarify that i was never attacking the idea, i was just curious why and how people were using it
