Crypto withdrawals becoming hard
Could it be on purpose?
When Coinbase switched to Plaid for bank account connections, my debit card still worked for deposits.
I recently tested a withdrawal, and I can’t link to my bank via Plaid or manual connection. Coinbase told me to open an account on one of Plaid’s supported banks. Huh?
Anyway, I decided to drop Coinbase and started looking around at Crypto.com and Kraken (Binance.us no longer accepts USD.) They all force Plaid on users, and many banks are unsupported. Evidently there are some issues with Plaid that some banks don’t like, whether it is security-related or financial kickbacks for monitoring user accounts.
So I’m reading all the forums and it seems many people have the same issue with locked funds. Seems like crypto is becoming deposit-only. Am I wrong? Other ways to deposit-withdraw easily without a middleman?f
