This is bitcoin-adjacent, but I swear to God as the centre collapses, Boomers pass to the other side and leave a greater percentage of the voter base comfortable with the idea of either radical political on the one hand, or technical and technological solutions to wicked problems, champagne socialist voices like Gary's get amplified and drive many more bitcoin sceptics into our arms. I know wealthy Gen-Xers desperately trying to get their money out of UK property and right now, and into the Cayman Islands. But the truth is that Bitcoin is so much easier, and options for bitcoin exposure are increasing, even in Europe (yes-yes, NYK-NYC, I know, but ETFs and bitcoin treasury companies solve a UX and tax efficiency problem that self-custody doesn't, I'm not justifying it, just explaining). Gary has invested his ego in bitcoin being a ponzi, and if he had his way Bitcoiners would be the first against the wall, but if you ignore that fact for a minute he's a gift that just keeps on giving.
